GoPro Long Term Timelapse
Built for BBC comic relief to film a month long Timelapse of a hospital being built in Africa.
The GoPro is powered by a V-lok battery, through a voltage regulator into a GoPro dummy battery.
Every 30 minutes a microcontroller triggers the GoPro on and a custom script on the MicroSD card triggers the GoPro to take a photo and power down.
I fabricated the circuitboard, programmed the microcontroller and also created a bespoke connector to trigger the GoPro.
Fun fact: older GoPros used to have an iPod connector on the back for control!
